In commemoration of the "16 Days of Activism (Nov 25-
Dec 10) against Gender based Violence 2016 " Theme : Raise Money to
Eliminate violence against women and girls" , Walk Against Rape (W.A.R)
W.A.R is launching "Project #SHARE4CARE", a sixteen days campaign
aimed at educating and sensitising young students of secondary school age like
Irene on rape and the need to speak up using the information guidebook
"Breaking the silence" as a toolkit.
Since 2014 we have donated over 40,000 copies of the book
across the country, Some of the books were donated at our College Acquaintance
Rape Education workshop which was held in the six education district in
Lagos, while through our online call for support , well meaning Nigerians
supported us in donating 5000 copies and in March this year during our Walk
Against Rape Campaign , Alliance Française de Lagos also donated copies of the
book.
We are using this medium to seek support from well meaning
Nigerians and my friends here, to help light a candle by partnering with us on
this project” to buy and donate copies of the book , to either a school of
their choice or one of our beneficiary schools.
A copy of the book is N300, you can donate as many copies as
you wish , The book will save not just a girl child like Irene but an entire family, through the
spring-ball effect.
