Popular comedian, Basketmouth has been known to cross uncomfortable
subject boundaries when it comes to making jokes but he took it too far when he posted a joke on
Facebook about rape.On the post which he has since deleted, the comedian attempted to
make a comparison between dating an African girl and a white girl an how it usually ends with RAPE for the African girl for refusing to have sex with her date.
Foremost Activist and National Coordinator of Walk Against Rape Nigeria Esther Ijewere-Kalejaiye replied him via same social media platform; here is her response to his "Rape Joke":
The "Rape Joke" received more reactions from several young people and
youth advocate who were not pleased with it ; Omojuwa and Tolu ogunlesi notably amongst them ,
including the former Minister Mrs. Oby Ekwesili who also tweeted her
displeasure :

I'm sorry to say Esther but to some extent, He was right. Though there is no any JUSTIFICATION for rape. But I do tell the ladies, don't collect anything from guys you know you wouldn't date. They give the guys the impression they gonna sleep with him. But like I said earlier, there is no JUSTIFICATION for rape. Basketmouth was wrong for that but a chord was strike there.
