A teenager, Chisomu Ovu, has been
arraigned before a Tinubu Magistrate’s Court for allegedly defiling a
salesgirl.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the
alleged crime happened on October 22 when the salesgirl (name withheld), said

Our correspondent gathered that
18-year-old Ovu allegedly lured the victim to a store inside the shop to pack

learnt, grabbed the salesgirl by the neck while he had carnal knowledge of her.
The incident was said to have
been reported to the police by the girl’s boss, Funmilayo Agnes.
The prosecutor, Francisco Okere,
preferred one count of rape against the defendant, who appeared before the
Magistrate, Mrs. A.T. Omoyele.
The charge read, “That you Chisom
Ovum on October 22, 2014 at about 4pm at Ebute Ero Market did unlawfully and
forcefully have carnal knowledge of one (name withheld) when she was sent to
buy goods at your shop and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable
