A Gusau Magistrate’s Court in
Zamfara State, yesterday, remanded three men, Isah Garba, Rabiu Ahmed and
Abubakar Muhammad in prison custody. They were arraigned for alleged rape,
conspiracy and theft.
The accused persons are from
Malikawa Village, Gidan Goga in the Maradun Local Government Area of the state.
The Prosecutor, Sergeant Daniel
Longwal, said sometime in October, unknown persons entered the complainant’s
house at Malikawa Village and stole 23 sheep, valued at N460,000 and four
donkeys valued at N120,000.
He said that on October 31, the
accused persons went back to the complainant’s house and forcefully ordered his
wife to follow them to a nearby bush, where they all raped her.
The Magistrate, Alhaji Aminu
Ibrahim, ordered that the accused persons be remanded in prison custody and
adjourned to December 24 for further hearing in the case.
